Welcome to Heartsville High, set in a world where everyone is gay--well, almost everyone! The big-man-on-campus is the chess champion, and the captain of the football team is made cool by being cast as the lead in the school musical. The students write a controversial show called "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" about straight people in the military, which becomes the catalyst for a young man and woman to fall in love. Enter Zanna, a magical, musical fairy who, with a wave of his wand, brings true love to one and all!

Auditions will take place Saturday May 6th and 13th, with callbacks ONLY on Sunday May 14. Auditions will begin at 2 pm with call backs at 6:00pm. Please Email education@outfronttheatre.com for an audition appointment.

All those interested in auditioning are asked to prepare 32 bars from a contemporary pop/rock song NOT from Zanna, Don’t and a contrasting contemporary monolouge. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key - an accompianst will be provided. If auditioners prefer they may bring in a track on an iPod for their song.

Please bring a recent headshot and resume.

Out Front Theatre Company invites performers to audition for any role of the gender of which they identify.

Auditions, rehearsals and performances will all take place at Out Front Theatre Company, located at 999 Brady Avenue, Suite 110 Atlanta GA 30318.

Zanna, Don’t: a Quantum Football Fable will run July 29th-30th, 2017. Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 pm.

The following roles are available:

ZANNA a magical pangender hall monitor who identifies as male and expresses as female, but far more importantly, has dreams of being president; classy, understated, bighearted, civic‐minded

STEVE quarterback; naïve, puppy‐dog of a hunk who just wants to fit in

KATE even‐keeled, brilliant cheerleader/quantum physicist; half fearless and half insecure, she hasn’t yet fully figured out who she is

MIKE America’s chess champ, which makes him a national celebrity; but really he just wants to find a nice guy to settle down with and lead a quiet life

ROBERTA captain of the synchronized mechanical bull‐riding team; a tough, independent crusader for social justice who, like Mike, is a hopeful romantic

TANK a rumpled, unromantic, hard‐boiled 1940’s‐style editor of the school newspaper

CANDI self‐involved busy‐body who’ll stop at nothing to get ahead

ARVIN her hapless sidekick, who, like Candi, also doubles in some cameo roles
