Upcoming Auditions

Out Front Theatre Company, Atlanta’s LGBTQIA theatre company, announces auditions for “The Rocky Horror Show” by Richard O’Brien.

With cascading toilet paper and an array of audience participation, this deliberately kitschy rock-n-roll, sci-fi and gothic musical is more fun than ever! The show is a humorous tribute to science fiction and horror movies. The production tells the story of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm and stumbling upon the home of a mad transvestite scientist just as he’s unveiling his new creation - a sort of Frankenstein-style monster.

Auditions will take place Monday August 21th and Tuesday August 22nd with callbacks ONLY on Wednesday August 23rd. All dates will begin at 6:30 pm. Audition appointments are not needed, please attend only one evening of auditions. Please bring TWO headshots and resumes (attached).

Auditions and performances will take place at Out Front Theatre Company; 999 Brady Avenue Atlanta, GA 30318.

All those interested in auditioning are asked to prepare two (2) contrasting contemporary musical theatre or rock songs (NOT from The Rocky Horror Show) that are each 32 measures in length. All auditioners will be asked to complete a short dance combination. Both men and women are asked to bring heels to dance in as well.
Please bring two headshots and two resumes. Only callbacks will consist of cold readings from the script.

This production will be directed by Matthew Busch, with music direction by Nick Silvestri and choreography by Jordan Keyon Smith.

The Rocky Horror Show will run October 19 through November 5, 2017. Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 pm and Sunday performances are at 3 pm.
